Three Submission Options
All submission types may be formatted as half page (200-300 words), full page (500-600 words), or two page spread (1000-1200 words) depending on your goals and content. For both an interview and article, we include a headshot, one-sentence bio (written in third person), website, and one social media handle at the end of the article so that people can connect with you. QR codes are only allowed in graphical display ads.
- Self-written interview – You create both the questions and answers, and submit accompanying photos (two-page example & half-page example). This format allows you to guide the conversation intentionally and highlight your voice, story, and expertise. While this option naturally lends itself to self-promotion, we encourage contributors to frame their responses in a way that educates, inspires, or offers meaningful value to the reader. Best for thought leaders, speakers, and practitioners who want a personal, conversational way to introduce their work.
- Article – You submit a written article designed to serve the reader first, and we provide a stock image to accompany the piece. This may include solving a specific problem, answering a meaningful question, or offering insight that helps readers grow, heal, or transform. This article can NOT be purely self-promotional. It MUST provide value to the reader. Articles are curated for clarity, relevance, and resonance with the Awakened Magazine audience (full-page example). Best for contributors who want to establish credibility through teaching, storytelling, or perspective.
- Graphical Display Advertisement – You provide a high-resolution, print-ready JPG showcasing your product, service, or offering with 1/8″ safe zone with no text and 1/8″ bleed. While the ad should clearly reflect your brand, all advertisements must align with the overall aesthetic and quality standards of Awakened Magazine (full-page example). Ads are reviewed to ensure they feel elevated, intentional, and visually cohesive within the publication. Best for brands, events, retreats, and offerings that benefit from strong visual presence.
